kurenn and ryan: elopement photo los angeles

Kurenn wants to have Ryan's babies. She said that casually as we were climbing down onto the beach for our engagement session.  She said he's such a good man who happens to be very adorable and she wants to see little versions of him running around.  She's basically saying she thinks this human is so amazing there should be more of him. Naturally he asked her to marry him. (She also teaches yoga and loves his favorite football team.)            

I love how invested Kurenn was about our shoot details - our enthusiastic dress choice collaboration lasted two days. I think of dresses a lot lately: The shape, the color, the way they move.  A woman in a dress is inherently cinematic to me, but since such a large part of my photo sessions involve play, it has to allow for spontaneous scampering. We both finally and simultaneously agreed on the white and blue dress, the one that looked like stars at sea.
