Taya and Mika: engagement session los angeles

I know that not everyone uses the word "abandoned and creepy" when they refer to something as hopeful as engagement photos but no one says you have to do what anyone else does. Taya and Mika wanted that exact vibe for their engagement photo session backdrop.  This is totally in line with the theme of their wedding that I'll be shooting later this year: a celebration in the woods based (very loosely) on campy horror films like Sleepaway Camp. (I know. I love these two.)

So what are two beautiful women who love horror films and and derelict dark places like in person?  Soft spoken and smart, incredibly polite and totally supportive of each other. Take for example when, in response to Mika letting me know that she was camera-shy, Taya said: "Mika has such a fine face - why do you think I put it on lock down." Or when, after every several shots, Mika would look at Taya and say "great job hon."
