brissa and antonio: their Ojai wedding

When Brissa first wrote to me she described her wedding day as "a more casual, backyard, family BBQ type feel, except that it will take place in one of the most beautiful, serene locations we've ever been to." The rest of her letter explained how this would be the first time in 8 years that her entire family would re-unite and how important it was to all of them that they found a photographer who could capture the feeling of the day. it was a touching, emotional letter and the first hint of how soulful and creative Brissa is and how much I would adore her.

Thank you Brissa and Antonio for letting me share this incredible day with you and your beautiful family and friends on the hill at the end of the dirt road in this gorgeous town. Brissa, your creative energy is an inspiration.

My favorite part of the directions: Park near the chickens.

My personal favorite moment: there were a few. I had the overwhelming urge to listen to Lana Del Rey on the road trip here and the very same song I was playing over and over turned out to be Brissa and Antonio's first dance song (Young and Beautiful).
